Early Explorers recognises that early childhood is a crucial time in the development of young children and we strive to support and guide children and their families for the best possible start in life. We endeavour to provide a safe, nurturing and natural environment where children can develop a sense of self as well belonging to a group. Our environments within the service ensure flexibility and responsiveness to the children’s interests, learning capabilities and styles, and provide a platform for becoming confident learners.

 

Our curriculum has been developed and influenced by the national Early Years Learning Framework. The framework considers principles, practices and learning outcomes to promote children’s learning, with play-based learning being central to the framework.

 

We believe that children best learn through play as they have the opportunity to extend their thinking, creativity and desire to learn at their own pace. Our educators strive to create learning experiences that are based on the children’s interests, that are challenging, fun and with natural resources where possible.

 

We know that collaborative partnerships are crucial for successful learning and education. At Early Explorers we work together with families and the wider community to support children in their learning and development. Respectful relationships and open communication between families, children, educators and the community is of utmost importance.

 

Early Explorers believes in providing a safe environment which encourages healthy lifestyle habits on a daily basis. We aim to provide children with nutritional meals, encourage physical activity and implement learning experiences within our routines which promote physical care, independence and the importance of caring for the environment.
